I feel like my spending has begun to stabilize. Im no longer ordering uber eats everyday and like going to the super expensive corner store for snacks. I think the biggest shift in mindset was just I should prioritize groceries since cooking for yourself is super rewarding and cheaper.

Also like cooking for myself has allowed me to better deal with my dietary restriction as well.

My most recent big purchases where a bunch of coffee, some tea, a kettle and a rice cooker. They were all fairly expensive in total maybe like $400 but given the amount of money I had been spending out coffee shops (at my city a latte is like $8) they will pay for themselves in the long run.

I use the rice cooker everyday. I like mixing rice with olive oil and broccoli and chopped chicken to make like a full meal. Its so easy and I dont have to think about it. Also the rice always turns out great. Whenever Im craving just some aditional carbs I make like a cup of white rice and boom HELLA cheap instant satisfaction. I’ve also cooked gluten free oats and quinoa in my rice cooker.

It’s been pretty nice to see my spending settle down. I’m making progress towards my debt and also being healthier at the same time which has felt really good. Ive got my debt down from ~$16,000 to like ~$13,000 which like is fairly ok. I feel like my debt repayment will accelerate now that my gut issues have begun to resolve and I feel like much better overall.a
